App development for teens class set

Students going into grades sixth 12th can learn App Development at the Hudson Library & Historical Society. Instructors from TECH CORP will teach the class on July 15 or July 29 at 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the library's computer lab. Students need to only sign up for one session.

The Rotary Club of Hudson, Rotary District 6630 is seeking Hudson families to host a foreign exchange student for the school year beginning in August. Rotary's inbound exchange student, Lucas, is a 16-year- old boy from Brazil and will be enrolled as a junior in Hudson High School.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) introduces a new extended train schedule for visitors. As of now, CVSR offers scenic train rides every Tuesday through Sunday from our stations in Independence to Akron. Tuesdays through Thursdays, the train runs from 9 a.m. to 4:25 p.m.

Bike camp for persons with disabilities set July 10-14

AKRON -- Registration is open for the Autism Society of Greater Akron's (ASGA) sixth annual 5-day bike camp. The 5-day camp teaches participants with all different disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently. The bike camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Car show set

Knights of Columbus car, truck and motorcycle show will be held June 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church (next to Water Works Park), 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. There will be trophies, prizes, food, 50/50 raffle and music by DJ Bob Allen.
