Ruth Barrack Kelly passed peacefully on April 28, 2017, in her home, at the age of 85.
Ruth was born, in 1931, to Edna (Henderson) and William Barrack, in Westmoreland County, Virginia. The family later moved to Pittsburgh, PA where she attended school and graduated from Langley High School. In August 1951, she married her beloved husband, Joseph R. Kelly, Jr., who preceded her in death October 2010, after 59 years of marriage. Ruth and Joe made their home and raised their family in Hudson, OH. They loved dancing, supporting the arts, entertaining, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Ruth was an active member, and former President of the P.E.O., Chapter DO of Hudson, OH, and is being recognized at this year's State Convention, as a 50-year member.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she is survived by her sons Douglas (Nancy) of Moreland Hills, Ohio, Kenneth (Pamela) of Monroe, Connecticut, David (Sheryl) of Hudson, Ohio; grandchildren Daniel and Matthew; Ryan (Kristina), Sarah, and Thomas; William, Joseph, and Michael; great-granddaughters, Annabelle, Emeline, Adelyn; brother Dale Barrack (Fran) and sisters-in-law Irene Barrack, Anne Hoffman and Jean Bair.
A small, private memorial service is being planned for family.
